NewsRSSZelensky signs law banning sale of medicines to minors
6 of August 2021 г.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed off a law prohibiting the sale of medicines to minors.
That’s according to the president's press service, Ukrinform reports. Volodymyr Zelensky has signed Law “On Amendments to Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Medicinal Products’ Prohibiting the Sale of Medicinal Products to Persons Under the Age of 14 (Minors)” No. 1668-IX, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 15. The document aims to restrict children's free access to medicines sold in pharmacies, and thus prevent possible accidents. Until now, drugs that pharmacies are supposed to sell on prescription could often be purchased without it. The law prohibits the sale of drugs to persons under 14 years of age. This includes, but is not limited to, online sales and delivery. If a person who sells drugs or delivers them has doubts about the buyer’s age, they must require a citizen’s passport or other document confirming their age. In case such document is not provided, the release of medicines to this person shall be prohibited, according to new legislation. другие новости
