The Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel is actively working to ensure mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates between Ukraine and Israel - Ukrinform.
On July 26, 2021, with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine, an online meeting was held between representatives of the ministries and departments of Ukraine and Israel (technical teams) involved in the introduction of COVID certificates for traveling abroad. The parties exchanged information on the status of their processing, in particular, bringing the technical content of the certificates in line with the rules of both countries and the norms of the World Health Organization. During the meetings with the Israeli side, Ambassador of Ukraine Yevhen Korniychuk stressed the need for an early signing of an intergovernmental agreement on mutual recognition of COVID vaccination passports, which, among other things, will allow Israeli pilgrims to safely visit Ukraine during the celebration of the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah. "The draft agreement was submitted by the Israeli side for approval in May and was actually fully worked out," the ambassador said. The embassy is in close contact with representatives of religious communities in order to discuss and agree on issues related to this year’s pilgrimage to the tomb of Rabbi Nachman in Uman. другие новости
