21 of May 2021 г.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says Ukraine is to receive 350,000 doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine by the end of May.
Shmyhal said this during his report to the Verkhovna Rada on the government's implementation of the parliament’s resolution on measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. “Contracts have been signed with Pfizer for 21.2 million doses of vaccine, including 1.2 million under COVAX. On the initiative of the COVAX Facility, 240,000 doses of vaccine have already been delivered to Ukraine. Almost 350,000 [doses of] vaccines are to be delivered by the end of May, 500,000 – in the second quarter, and other supplies - in the third and fourth quarters, respectively," he said. There are also agreements for the supply of 10 million doses of the Novavax vaccine, of which 4 million are expected in August; in the future, it is planned to supply 2 million doses every month. In addition, Shmyhal noted that an agreement was reached to supply 10 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, including 6.8 million doses under the global COVAX initiative. Thus, 2 million doses of this vaccine are expected to arrive from the Serum Institute of India (SII) – 500,000 doses each from the SII can be delivered in May-July. другие новости
