Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Ruslan Khomchak said this at the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. National Security” on May 12, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Militarily, the Armed Forces and other units of the security and defense sector are now ready to repel armed aggression. I can say confidently that they are 100 percent ready. But when the battle begins, you cannot predict today, sitting at this table, how it will go. Only the battle will show," Khomchak explained.
According to him, the Ukrainian army has seven years of combat experience. "I responsibly say that we are ready for any actions of the enemy against our state," Khomchak stressed.
As reported, Russia announced the withdrawal of its troops from Ukraine’s borders under the pretext of “successful completion of exercises”, but at the same time leaves its military presence and technical equipment near Ukraine’s borders and in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine and Crimea.
