NewsRSSBiden will discuss Ukraine at meeting with Putin - Sullivan
29 of April 2021 г.
U.S. President Joe Biden intends to discuss Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has said.
According to Ukrinform's correspondent in New York, Sullivan stated this in an interview with MSNBC. "Joe Biden is a man of his word. He said he would respond to Russia's harmful actions, and he did it. He also said that he wasn't seeking to de-escalate, that he wanted a stable relationship. And so he offered the opportunity to sit down with Vladimir Putin in a third country this summer to talk about the full range of issues in our relationship, including the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Sullivan said. According to him, Biden intends to "follow through on that if we can work out a date and a location that works." Sullivan also said he was not going "to get into hypotheticals about what might happen if Russia goes into Ukraine." "The president has communicated directly, privately to President Putin. He is concerned about Russia's military build-up," he said. другие новости
