Shmyhal calls on churches to comply with quarantine rules during worship services

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has called on all religious organizations to comply with quarantine restrictions and recommendations when celebrating holidays such as Palm Sunday, Easter, Eid al-Fitr, and a number of other holidays.
He said this at a meeting with representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, according to the Ukrainian government's website - Ukrinform.
"Holidays are a joy, and it is important that this joy is not overshadowed by a spike in morbidity. We appreciate that representatives of religious organizations are doing everything to comply with quarantine rules. For its part, the government will continue to make every effort to make the state policy in the field of religion effective, efficient and aimed at the realization of the respective rights and freedoms of citizens," Shmyhal said.
