As of November 12, the highest incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytskyi regions, according to data provided by the Health Ministry - Ukrinform.
In particular, the highest incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days has been recorded in Chernivtsi region (643.8 per 100,000 population), Zhytomyr region (587.5), and Khmelnytskyi region (534.5). The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 in the last 14 days has been reported in Kirovohrad region (120), Dnipropetrovsk region (153.9), and Luhansk region (199.3). The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 389.1 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 342.5 per 100,000 population. The occupancy of beds in medical institutions prepared for the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic amounted to 54.7% as of November 11. The largest number of hospitals is occupied in Poltava region – 71.8% (92.5% as of November 8), Zakarpattia region – 70.5%, Kyiv region – 68.5%, and Chernivtsi region – 68%. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 56.9%. As Ukrinform reported, at a meeting on November 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to introduce a national weekend lockdown.
