Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the transfer of agricultural land from state to municipal ownership.
He announced his intention to sign the document at the land forum "Land to the People" in Chernihiv region on Thursday, October 15, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. "Today I am signing a decree on measures to transfer agricultural land from state to municipal ownership," Zelensky said, subsequently signing the document. According to him, in general, local governments will receive more than two million hectares of land. "We are returning the land to the people, from the center to the regions. It is logical and, most importantly, it is fair," Zelensky said. At the same time, he recalled that the law prohibits the sale of municipal lands. The Verkhovna Rada at an extraordinary meeting on March 31 adopted the Law of Ukraine "On the Introduction of Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the Sale of Agricultural Land." President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on April 28. другие новости
