"The Board of the National Bank has decided to keep the discount rate unchanged at 6% per annum," reads the report - Ukrinform.
It is noted that this decision will restrain price growth as the economy recovers in 2021–2022, by leaving room for further decreasing the cost of credit to one-digit levels.
As reported by Ukrinform, the NBU Board decided to cut the discount rate to 6% on June 12, 2020. Previously, the discount rate was reduced to 8% in April, to 10% in March, to 11% in January.
