The Ukrainian government will resume domestic flights from June 5 and international flights from June 15, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
He said this at a government meeting on Wednesday, June 3, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. "For example, we will launch domestic flights from June 5 and international flights from June 15," Shmyhal said. According to him, it will be allowed to carry by car up to five people, including the driver (excluding children under 14 years). From June 5, the Cabinet of Ministers will also allow the operation of restaurants and cafes, in particular, the reception of visitors inside the premises, if anti-epidemic measures are observed. At the same time, people over the age of 60 may no longer need to comply with their self-isolation obligations. The government will also allow religious events to be held indoors if no more than one person per 1.5 square meters is present. Ukraine introduced lockdown and a number of restrictive measures from March 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some restrictions have been eased since May 11. On May 20, the government decided to introduce a so-called adaptive lockdown until June 22. The second stage of the relaxation of lockdown measures began on May 22.
