Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakiv Smolii said this at a briefing on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Due to lockdown restrictions, to overcome the pandemic and the global crisis, the Ukrainian economy will decline by 5% in 2020 but will resume growth at about 4% in the coming years," Smolii said.
As was reported earlier, the International Monetary Fund expects a serious drop in Ukraine's economic growth due to the coronavirus - to -7.7% in 2020.
