 NewsRSSParliament fired Goncharuk from the post of Prime Minister

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Alexey Goncharuk from the post of Prime Minister. The corresponding draft resolution was supported by 353 deputies at an extraordinary parliamentary meeting, a Ukrinform correspondent reports. After the vote, Goncharuk and the entire Cabinet left the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada. On the eve of Goncharuk filed a letter of resignation in Parliament. In place of Goncharuk, it is planned to appoint the current Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Denis Shmygal. Goncharuk was elected Prime Minister on August 29, 2019. Prior to that, he headed the analytical organization Office of Effective Regulation (BRDO). On October 4, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada approved the Government's Activity Program proposed by Goncharuk. According to the law on the Cabinet of Ministers, after the approval of the program of activities, the parliament for 12 months cannot consider the issue of government responsibility and dismiss it.
