“The Foreign Minister, in particular, underscored the significant role of the UN in providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian civilians affected by the Russian aggression, as well as supporting the Government of Ukraine's efforts to implement reforms and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals,” the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.

"I am convinced that the world organization can play an active role in other areas of settlement of Russia-Ukraine conflict, in particular in the context of the possible deployment of a peacekeeping operation, as well as in the reconstruction and reintegration of the affected regions of Ukraine," Prystaiko emphasized.

For his part, Guterres reaffirmed his commitment to the UN resolutions on respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and assured its continued willingness to provide practical assistance to Ukrainians in these difficult times.
