 NewsRSSPM Honcharuk: Gas price for 2020 to be known after talks with Gazprom

The exact gas price for next year will become known when negotiations with Russian Gazprom are completed.
"This is really a factor that influences the gas price greatly. Therefore, we will see what gas price will be in January and February when it becomes clear whether we have a contract [with Gazprom]. It really depends on this factor," Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said on the air of ICTV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reported. On December 16, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine stated that it had not reached an agreement with Russia on the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine after 2019. As reported, on December 13, bilateral negotiations between Naftogaz and Gazprom on gas transit took place in Vienna (Austria). The parties agreed to continue work on options for the transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine. Ukraine was represented by Executive Director of Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko and Director of LLC Operator of the Gas Transportation System of Ukraine Serhiy Makohon. On December 9, Vitrenko told journalists that in Paris, as part of the Normandy Four summit, Ukraine and Russia had not agreed on a new contract on January 1, 2020 on the transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine. The current gas transit contract between Naftogaz and Gazprom expires on December 31, 2019. The parties are currently in talks to sign a new contract. Отправить в:      другие новости
