The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may pass the land market bill as a whole in December.
Oleksandr Korniyenko, the first deputy chairman of the Servant of the People party, expressed this opinion in an interview with NV. Answering the question when the bill on land market would be voted on as a whole, the politician said: “It depends when the committee manages to introduce all the amendments. This can be either December 2 or December 16. There is such a plan. We’ll see.” At the same time, speaking about when the referendum on land market could take place, Korniyenko noted: “First, we need to adopt a package of laws on rule of the people. Therefore, it’s about January-February next year. Then we’ll plan.” The second session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation will run through January 24. The last plenary sitting of the Parliament in 2019 is to take place on December 20. On November 13, Ukrainian lawmakers passed the bill canceling the moratorium on agricultural land sale in Ukraine at first reading.
