Naftogaz lowers gas price for population by almost 5% in October

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has set the gas price for population at the level of UAH 4,272.76 per 1,000 cubic meters in October, which is 4.9% less than the price in September, according to the company’s press service.
"The October price of natural gas for households and other consumers receiving gas at regulated prices decreased by 4.9% compared to September, to UAH 4,272.76 per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT, tariffs set by gas distribution companies and transportation costs). Although gas prices in the European market have significantly increased compared to the summer level, the regulated gas price in Ukraine is determined by a formula reflecting market prices with a two-month lag. The formula is envisaged in the government’s resolution as of April 3, 2019, No.293, which will be in effect until the end of 2019,” reads the report.
The company added that since April 2019, the gas price for households and other protected consumers had already decreased by 32%.
