Ukraine’s gas reserves in underground storage facilities have exceeded a maximum level in the past seven years, according to the press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine - Ukrinform.
"There are more than 18.7 billion cubic meters of gas in underground storage facilities. This is the highest level of storage reserves in the past seven years," the company’s press service wrote on Facebook. Naftogaz noted that daily gas pumping made up 78 million cubic meters and the accumulated reserves would be enough for the upcoming heating season. In total, Naftogaz intends to accumulate a record 20 billion cubic meters in storage facilities by the start of heating season in case the Russian Federation ceases gas transit on January 1. Earlier, Fitch Ratings said that the commissioning of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline with some delay could lead to a reduction in Ukraine's gas transportation revenues. FM-TV другие новости
