Sixty convicts have been transferred from the occupied areas of Luhansk region to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova informed this on her Facebook page on Friday. “Again, I am on the bridge in Shchastia. I took 60 citizens of Ukraine, who were held in the penitentiary institutions in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region and were detained or were serving their sentences for crimes at the time of the occupation of Donbas,” she wrote. She noted that 454 convicts had been transferred during 2014-2019. According to Denisova, she is ready to take all Ukrainian citizens, who are serving their sentences in the occupied part of Donbas and express a desire to move to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Government in order to continue serving their sentences. другие новости
