NewsRSSU.S. sanctions against Russia confirm partnership with Ukraine, EU - State Department
9 of November 2018 г.
The introduction of a new package of U.S. sanctions against Russia on November 8 is a confirmation of Washington's partnership with Ukraine and the European Union in their joint efforts to make Russia cease its aggression in Eastern Europe.
This is stated in a media note released by the U.S. Department of State on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. "The designations underscore the United States' steadfast partnership with Ukraine and the European Union in unified opposition to Russia's illegal purported annexation and occupation of Crimea and use of force to control parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Eastern Ukraine," the Department of State said. The statement notes that the action reinforces the Crimea Declaration of July 25, 2018, which states that "the United States does not and will not recognize Russia's purported annexation of Crimea." On November 8, Washington announced the imposition of sanctions against three individuals and nine entities related to Russian aggression in Donbas and Crimea. According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, all property and interests in property of the designated persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with them другие новости
