Militants launched 14 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day. The enemy used the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements twice.
“Russian-occupation troops used 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on JFO positions outside Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk), Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk),” reads the report of the JFO Headquarters press center. One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in shelling. Defenders of Pavlopol and Hnutove came under 82mm mortar fire. The enemy also used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian positions in the area of Pisky. Three military clashes were recorded near Vilne in Popasna direction in last day. The invaders opened fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, while the JFO units responded adequately. The Headquarters noted that the enemy 120mm mortars hit the territory of Vodiane village in Mariupol direction. Today, militants have already launched three attacks on Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) and Hnutove. Heavy weapons were not used.
