11 of October 2018 г.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has welcomed the decision of the UNESCO Executive Board on the start of direct monitoring of the situation in the occupied Crimea and Sevastopol.
“I welcome the important decision of the Executive Board of UNESCO on the start of direct monitoring of the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol. The Russian occupation authorities will fail to conceal their crimes from the international community and to avoid the well-deserved responsibility,” Poroshenko posted on Facebook.
“Presenting a united front in all the international formats, we continue to fight for the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Crimea is Ukraine!” the Head of State stressed.
On October 10, the Executive Board of UNESCO officially announced the start of the first phase of direct monitoring of the situation in the annexed Crimea.
