NewsRSSRada sends draft constitutional amendments on Ukraine's course for NATO, EU to Constitutional Court

The Verkhovna Rada has included in the agenda of its session a presidential bill on amendments to the Constitution to secure Ukraine's course for joining NATO and the EU.
The parliament also sent the document to the Constitutional Court for a conclusion. A total of 321 MPs voted for the approval of draft resolution No.9037/P on the inclusion in the agenda of the ninth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation of a draft law amending the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding the strategic course of the state on gaining Ukraine's full membership of the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and on its transfer to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. "The decision has been made. The resolution has been adopted as a whole," Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said. In particular, the bill proposes to amend the Constitution and include in the powers of the Verkhovna Rada the determination of the principles of domestic and foreign policy, the implementation of the strategic course of the state to gain Ukraine's full membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. другие новости
