The creation of the National Police has been one of the most successful reforms in Ukraine.
Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy said this at the morning plenary session, congratulating the National Police officers on their professional holiday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported. "Today the Ukrainian police officers celebrate their professional holiday. I congratulate all of us, especially our law enforcement officers on the National Police Day of Ukraine. The creation of the National Police in 2015 was not only a change of name, it was a radical transformation of the law enforcement agency and one of the most successful reforms in modern Ukraine," Parubiy said. The National Police Day is marked for the first time today, July 4. It was introduced in Ukraine in accordance with the president’s decree of April 4, 2018.
