Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 30 times in last day

Militants launched 30 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 24 times, using the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements 11 times,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In Luhansk direction, the tensest situation was near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), where militants fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian positions. Defenders of Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk) came under 122mm artillery fire. The enemy’s activity was also observed outside Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Orikhove (75km north of Luhansk).

In Donetsk direction, terrorists launched attacks on defenders of Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), using 82mm mortars, under-barrel grenade launchers and small arms. Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Novoselivka Druha (23km north of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) also came under enemy fire.

In Mariupol direction, Russian mercenaries opened fire from grenade launchers of different types, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions in the area of Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two soldiers were wounded in fighting in last day.

Today, Russian-occupation troops have already launched five attacks on Ukrainian troops. In particular, the enemy fired grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on position of the joint forces near Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), rocket anti-tank launchers and small arms – near Lebedynske, Vodiane and Shyrokyne.

According to the intelligence, three militants were killed and another five were wounded.
