NewsRSSPresident signs law on creation of High Anti-Corruption Court

President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law “On the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court”.
The signing of the document took place at the graduation ceremony at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. “In fact, apart from the final clauses, the law consists of only two articles. Article one: to create the High Anti-Corruption Court. Article two: location, territorial jurisdiction and status are determined by the Law on the High Anti-Corruption Court," Poroshenko said. He also reminded that the law was supported by the parliament at first reading and second reading “in a very short period of time.” As reported, on June 7, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on the High Anti-Corruption Court, with 315 MPs voting for bill. The MPs determined the principles of the organization and activities of the High Anti-Corruption Court as the highest specialized court in the judicial system, special requirements for judges of this court and guarantees of their activities, as well as the peculiarities of holding a competition for the position of a judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court. On June 21, the Verkhovna Rada approved the law on the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court. другие новости
