One Ukrainian serviceman was killed, and another six soldiers were wounded and injured in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine in last day.
Defense Ministry Spokesman Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. "Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded and another one was injured in the enemy shelling in last day. All of them were delivered to medical institutions and provided with qualified medical care," Hutsuliak said. In addition, according to the JFO Headquarters, a group of servicemen of a mechanized battalion operating in Horlivka direction was ambushed during the patrolling. An unknown explosive device was installed on the patrol route. One Ukrainian serviceman was killed and another two were injured after the device had exploded.
