Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree establishing a new professional holiday on July 4 - the Ukrainian Police Day.
The head of state said this at a ceremony to award certificates for water and road transport to the National Police of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reported. "I consulted with the minister, and today I signed a decree introducing a new professional holiday - the Ukrainian Policy Day on July 4," Poroshenko said. He said that it was not about moving the holiday from August 4, but about establishing a new holiday, "as we established new police." The National Police Day of Ukraine was marked on August 4.
