Russian-backed militants launched 47 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy used 82mm mortars and grenade launchers to fire at the defenders of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). Russian-backed militants opened fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on the Ukrainian strongholds near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk). Terrorists fired grenade launchers near Butovka coal mine, Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), heavy machine guns near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), and small arms – near Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol).
In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations fired grenade launchers and heavy machine guns at the Ukrainian positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). ATO troops outside Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) came under heavy machine gun fire and outside Stanytsia Luhanska – under small arms fire.
